After I got my bike I wanted some up grades, a brotha from the Buffalo Soldiers of Cali. hooked me up. Question how much should we give a brother\sister for their (love) help?

Good question.

First off, it should have been established out the gate, Why was this person doing this for you? Are they they type of person that helps people just because their cool like that, or if they are looking to be compensated for hooking you up? To point someone in the right direction, should simply be responded with a "THANK YOU", but now a days, people are money hungry. Also, this money hungry person might be looking at the savings value they helped you with, and feel they should be compensated by a percentage based off what they saved you.

So, lets just make this # up just incase you really need some advice and you not left hanging and someone feeling salty about you.

If they saved you about $500, I would give them $50 as a Thank you.
If they saved you over $1000, I would give them $100 as a Thank you.

I hate to put a $ value on how much a Thank you is worth, but in some cases, you just have to.
